March madness. For some people it means basketball.
For other people, it is a good excuse to dress up as a Littlest Pet Shop, clone trooper, and princess in polka dot rainboots and have a parade up and down the sidewalk in your neighborhood.
March madness can also involve those tricky little leprachauns. They manage to elude the traps the kids make and set every year but they do leave behind naughty sugar cereal, big Irish polyester hats, and gangsta style clover light up necklaces. (We have a really classy dollar store here in the hood!)
March madness always involves a day of crazy hair and socks.
March madness is the only explanation I can think of for the day I walked in the family room and found Pippi Longstocking frozen on my TV screen with a big green mustache placed in just the right place.
And I knew March madness had hit an all time low when I walked in to HB's bedroom and found Barbie all in a tizzy over the condition of her living quarters.
March madness sometimes involves frogs. My family has always had a special affinity for the green amphibian...especially after my mother saw them flying through the air one night during a rainstorm while on a road trip through Nebraska.
And if you are very, very, very lucky...then March madness will include some amazing days romping around the city with cousins...oh what fun we had! We sincerely hope that cousin frolicking will become a permanent March madness tradition!!!
March madness may include fighting invisible aliens in the front yard with a big stick...and crazy socks...because it was crazy sock day at school...or maybe because crazy socks scare aliens.
This year March madness also included 5 really good friends competing in Knowledge Bowl at the district level. Go Killer Snowmen!!! You did an AWESOME job! (Super proud of these super smart boys who make being this smart really cool and fun!)
(We had a hard time finding "Killer Snowmen" shirts...but apparently "Abominable Snowmen" shirts were all the rage this year.)
Ah, March madness. Forget the basketball...we like to make our own kind of crazy!
Happy Spring.

oh how i love your march madness! we had the best time with you guys!!! we just might have to make it a permanent tradition...and if flights were cheaper we'd be there every weekend to frolick!
I like your kind of crazy. It is my kind of crazy.
Oh how I miss our cousins.
Craaaazy! You guys sure know how to have a good time. It seems like nonstop thrills at your house. I would much rather watch you guys than basketball, any old day! BTW, the frogs were not flying....just hopping all over the road. You may have confused my story with a certain story book about flying frogs. One is real, the other is fiction and that is still my story and I'm sticking to it. I know what I saw! But I'm not defensive or anything. Really.
You FUNNY.
Love snotty Barbie.
Who does she think she is?
I love it. I love any story told by Amy, and cute kids make it even better. They are so adorable. I miss them...messy rooms and all!
