This year has been a time of remarkable miracles and blessings in our family! A year never to be forgotten! It all began with the arrival of this amazing little boy...
This baby boy has been such an incredible blessing to our family! My heart and soul have known from day one that he is mine...ours...from the top of his corkscrew curls to his chubby little toes. He has filled a void in my heart and our family. He is adored and loved and has filled our lives with so much joy! Baby Boy is truly a miracle!
We were able to finalize the adoption in July and are eagerly anticipating next Saturday when my father will seal Spencer to our family for time and all eternity in the Mount Timpanogos temple where Chris and I started this whole wonderful thing! It is truly a day we have looked forward to since he was born!
Then...just a week later...we celebrate my sweet girl getting baptized. She is also such a joy in my life! This girl brings sunshine and happiness topped with creativity and imagination and sprinkled with frills and an exuberance for life that makes me happy every day. She has grown up so fast! I am so grateful for her big, blue eyes, her darling freckles, her enormous smile, and her "bruise-my-cheek" kisses.
After the holidays, we celebrate Baby Boy's 1st birthday...there will be cake and wild festivities. Stay tuned.
February brings Jacob's 12th birthday and his ordination to the Aaronic Priesthood. I am so proud of this great, big giant of a boy who made me a mother. From the moment I held him in my arms, I have loved and adored him to the bottom of my soul. He is smart and funny and has so many great interests and talents. I am so grateful he is mine.
Matthew turned double digits this year! I can't believe my little chubby cheeked baby has become this incredibly grown up young man with a style all his own and a passion for all things sports. He is gentle and kind and compassionate. He is also intense and talented so, so fun! I still can't stop from kissing his cheeks. He feels my heart with such joy and my heart with such love. I know he will be my child who will always watch out for me. He comforts me!
And my sweet, wonderful husband! All the things that I love about my kids are things I love about my husband. I see so much of him in them...and I am so grateful. It means they will grow up to be kind, compassionate, hard working, adoring, loving adults...and they will be tremendous fathers and mothers. Marrying Chris was truly the best decision I have ever made. He has filled my life with deep joy and endless wonder.
I am so grateful for this family of mine. I am grateful for the true blessing and privilege it is to be a wife and mother. I have had the opportunity to do many wonderful things in my life but nothing has been as life changing and deeply satisfying as my relationships to these people. I am truly blessed.
